Default Production Complete

Hey guys,
My dealer just called and let me know that my car has finished production and now has a VIN number.
Anyone have an idea how long before I will see it on the east coast (Atlanta)?

Thanks for any help.

Best
Shashi

Shashi,

Congrats. GT silver - great choice! For what it's worth, mine took one month from end of production to delivery at dealer, I think through the port of Baltimore. Your dealer can give you updates on the process, but it won't get here any quicker - I know.

You're gonna love your new ride.

Do you have any idea what the "start build" date of your turbo??? My dealer gives the end date, but nothing on when production really started.

Any idea when production started on the new turbo that just was built. Can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I guess Porsche just doesn't let owners/dealers know when production starts??

Your sales associate should be able to generate that info from the PCNA system. For what it's worth, I remember mine being about 10 days total production time, start to finish. Then one month for post-production testing/shipping/delivery to dealer. Then 27.3 minutes from dealer delivery to personal inspection

Thanks for info....tried for a month on 6speedonline....nothing there but photos and more photos. This is 1st time seen the 10-days build-time, I guess which sounds about right. My Atlanta dealer kept telling me that the production date is sacred and will always be met. However, even that has been pushed up 4 days. Amazing they can put Porsches together in such short time. With my M3s, takes a couple weeks and BMW lets the buyer have access to the computer data. I guess one day Porsche will do the same. Not sure what all the secrecy is about.

It took Porsche about a week to build my car which was completed on 9/16. It took a lot longer for the car to get to me but I'm on the West coast plus mine was subject to a recent "QC" hold issue.
