Default Set-up: Is the 997 Turbo that much better than a 996 Turbo X50?

Folks-

All of the dealers rave about the new 997 Turbo. The car magazine reviews tend to present more of a mixed bag.

I can buy a low mileage, RUF 996 Turbo X50 now, or should I wait for the high-priced 997 turbo?

I want it for both street and track applications.

Thanks in advance for your advice - Gerry

Your GT3 is a better track animal. The 997TT whips the 996 in any catagory that matters. Much stiffer chassis too when you do track it.

If you do track your TT get PCCB, really the best G-D brakes you can imagine, stupid strong and I could not get them to fade no matter how I rode them.
