Yep, LSD is not available with a Tip. I'm not sure why they did it that way..I just hope that they make LSD available with the PDK.

Wow, I cannot believe that. Perhaps they expected tip drivers to go easier on the car and not feel the difference or something? I cannot imagine leaving an LSD off a car with so much power/torque.

Re tip vs manual on track: The tip is faster if you are a novice, the manual faster if you are an expert. Mastiff has gained stature thru the elegance of his answer. Wealth was the reward of his genius. AS

Default LSD and 4WD and tip

I don't understand how the LSD works with 4WD? If on ice will one out of 4 tires spin? I thought the 4WD system shifter the power to the wheels with traction. Can someone explain this system? Thanks

I give up: what the heck is the "LSD" option. Is it the the rear axle differential lock? If so,
I assume this option would primarily be an advantage tracking the car, and not for regular
street driving?

When it comes to shifting a manual (don't forget about rev matching), most people think they're an expert, but the truth is probably less flattering.

I have to agree as well. LSD is an awesome option. Getting the power down when the car is heavily loaded in a corner has never been better.

Thumbs up...

Now if I can just get the trails to stop when I waive my hand in front of my face, I'll be happy. Is that purple haze?

With the 4-wheel drive, there is an electronic limited slip built in, that is, if the rears slip, the fronts take over. With the mechanical LSD, the rears won't slip...so the car's power is still more in the rear than being delivered to the front tires. I think it a good thing especially in wet weather. Well worth the $950 price. Porsche tells me, the LSD will not interfer with PASM, only enhances it. Also enchances only ASR (antislip regulation), ABD (automatic brake differential) and PTM(porsche traction management) systems that are standard in the new 911turbo.

Can't wait.
Do the leather door finishers as well. They really tie the doors to the dash.
