Default Sans "BEEP"

Hey All,

Something that annoys me. The alarm on the 997TT.

Why does it not "beep" when you arm it and "beep" "beep" when you disarm it?
Half the time, I don't know if the door is locked or not and I have to go back and yank the handle..

That's just annoying... Anyone know of a fix?

B

I had the dealer remove the sensor from my radio, so when I lock the doors it sends a false signal.

Mine does the same thing. I just listen for the clicking of the locks - never have heard any beeps... never thought about until you just brought it up....

We know the car must be good if that's the gripe. Clicks have always been good enough for me. AS

No gripe here. Until B-Line brought it up, the thought about the locking beep or non-beep never even occured to me...

Only gripe I have is that I should be driving it more than I do!

I really do not like a beep , annoying to say the least.
Not one of my German made cars makes this 'noise'.
The only one that had a beep is my Magnum SRT8 but you can program the car to stop making the beep sound which I did the day I took delivery

walger, can you elaborate further on what you mean by removing the sensors for the radio? False signal? I'm not quite sure if I understand you correctly.

My Range Rover doesn't "beep" when I lock/unlock it either. The locking/unlocking is quite loud in addition to the lights flashing once for locking and twice for unlocking so that's how I know it's either one. Does the Porsche flash once for locking and twice for unlocking or vice versa?

One way is to leave the center glovebox open, that will cause the car to beep when it's locked
