Porsche Owner's Take on the Z06 ...
#31
Fellas, fellas, play nice.
Z06 is fast alright, in the right hands. But guys who go around talking 'Ring times probably don't spend much time on the track themselves. If someone owns and tracks both for example, one would think they would know times on their home track.
On our track, 06 Z-06's are fast, but break readily. Three have gone far South this season. So, when they run, they're great, as long as they run.
OTOH, Porsches rarely break.
Hell, if it's track you want, a Radical for similar money will smoke any Vette.
Funny thing is, most real track guys kow that track, driver and car are interactive. On some tracks a Vette can barely out run an Exciege with a good driver. Ditto the Turbo.
Out there, nothing is "automatic"

One had some kind of flap in the intake get sucked in deep and requied a new manifold
One had some type of valve train failure
One lost half the brakes and stuffed it into the tire wall.

There is very little truth in anything you are saying. I've drivin both cars and although the ZO6 is very fast it is also very twitchy and sloppy. The Porsche on the otherhand feels very tight, responsive, and solid. the bottom line is the vette is for the guy who can't afford the Porsche. quit trying to justify the fact that you can't sac up enough change to buy one.

The guy is bringing suspension, speed and other variables to the discussion, and all you bring is your stupid reasoning about money, calling someone a troll and making a fool out of yourself...come on! But when guys start getting on others for spelling, they don't have much to say. Hell, I type much slower than I think and often make mistakes too.
just F^^^^^G with you and TAILWAG
Don't mean harm, enjoy. Nice car, really now. I drove my neighbor's, the subject of a long thread. He never drove that fast and it kinda shook him. They are FAST!
