Default 997TT available at Hickory Porsche

New guards red/black 997TT at Hickory Porsche in Hickory NC.

Will sell for MSRP according to sales person. $130K sticker. 6 speed, sport chrono, matching console, red belts, etc.

No affiliation in fact I might buy it but wanted to pass the word.

An unallocated 997 Turbo at MSRP within weeks of launch?
http://hickory.porschedealer.com/new...ntoryid=251036
Can someone post a pic of a Guards Red 997 Turbo? (I can't find one ... and the "order guide" pics are about as real as the WMD threat ... : )

Joe from fabspeed posted pics of his GR 997TT on his thread and website. There's a unallocated black one at one of the ny dealers as well, they were asking 10k over, it went for msrp last week.

Nothing falling here. Just curious.
(not sure what you really mean by your post)
But with the 997 GT3 in permanent "another month yet" status, I'm curious about the Turbo as a daily driver.
So shoot me.

Thanks. I guess Joe is making enough coin to buy a nice ride. : ) I'm thinking GR is pretty good on this new "interpretation" of the 997 body, but I'm not sure it's so compelling I'd write the check. Those wheels ... oh my. I think a "tough" colour like one of the grey paints works better with those wheels.
I wonder if the GT3 price will hold if the new Turbo price isn't repeating the feeding frenzy of the 996?
It seems to me the tipto (and later PDK) Turbo is the way of the future for the big GT Porsches.

I was being sarcastic, (what a surprise). Alot of posters are so concerned about the price, depreciation and the like. Okay, I agree and am advocate of paying no more than MSRP for the car, but it is going to lose value, quickly, slowly, regardless, over time, its going down. The point is once you own the car, why worry? Just drive it, display it, wax it, whatever, just enjoy it. Who cares what happens? If the sky falls, nothing changes, the car doesn't know the difference...its all in the minds of men.

The car is a pleasure to drive, 50 miles a week or 500 miles a week, whatever you need, it will do the job. It is solid and reliable. I love the darn thing!

Mastiff, that slate looks awsome, think I'm gonna go midnight instead of basalt, probably spec it out pretty quick here.

I contacted the dealership more than 15 hours ago. No response. Oh well. Some places just don't understand they have a way to communicate outside of incoming phone calls.

Hmmm.....might have to take a ride up the road.
