How close would it have to be?

How close would it have to be?
If you have an order placed with a October or later delivery, and your dealership called you right now and said:
"We have a 997TT that came in today, but the buyer decided to pass, if you like it, its yours at straight MSRP, when can you come down and see it?"
1. Would you be willing to accept an alternative ext./int. color?
2. What options would be a "must have" for you?

I've got 3-4 colors that I like a lot. If not one of those, then no way.
Only must have options for me are sport chrono and short shifter. The car comes with a lot of options as standard that cost extra on the 997S. There's more value built into the turbo at base than people acknowledge.

msatiff, i would make sure you get what you really want. it's only 3 months longer in wait, how long are you gonna keep the car? more than 3 months i hope.
i dont like options, my car usually only have xenon and nothing else. i would not take extra options even if they made the car cheaper then one wiht less option. i like my car the way i spec'd them.
hang in there.

Color choices: I would make some allowences. There are some colors that I really like even if they are not my first choice. Artic Silver, Black, White, etc.
In terms of options, these are the must haves:
Short Shift
Sport/Chrono
Maybe a deal breaker but not quite sure until I sat in the car:
Sport Seats
Thicker Steering wheel
-- No carbon fiber for me.

As you know I passed on a nicely optioned car because it was Black and I am so down on dirty-looking cars so Black would be the death of me.
Otherwise the car was perfect;
Full carbon (sorry Mooty)
Short Shift
Sport Chrono
PCCB
Trick Diff
Adapt seats w/heaters
I'd want all those things on my TT. So I'm with you Mastiff.
Oh yeah, I'd also want a Cab

i would take a look at the car. that is initally how i purchased my 996 turbo and it worked out good for me because it was definitely one of the colors i was considering. take a look and see if it gets you excited and go from there.

One fastasssombitch, that car.
But I figured another that was not Black would come along.
In the end, you're right, It just didn't "speak" to me loud enough. Any other color and I'd have been a goner, even if I would have to take a can-oper to the roof.
