Just to help clear up something. Seems like there is conflicting info on the applicability of the gas guzzler tax to the new turbo. If anyone sees one at a dealer, check out the window sticker. If there is a gas guzzler tax, it should be listed. If there is none, I can order $1300 more worth of goodies!!

There is no gas guzzler tax

I've read that the new TT has no gas guzzler tax. I believe it gets something like 17mpg around town and around 23mpg on the freeway. This is due to the variovane technology on the twin turbos. They seem to make the motors more efficient. This is one more reason to buy the new TT. I doubt the competition can claim the same.

Has anyone else heard anything on this issue?
