I think the wheels are all right. Definetly more flashy disco Bling Bling than the Turbo Race Technology Design of turbo wheels of the recent past. No cool hollow spoke technology or turbo fan looking aggressive design that shouts cool, like the 993 and or the 996 turbo wheels. I'll have to see them in person though before I make any hard criticisms.

Saw the wheels on a black TT today. They do look a little better in person, but I am still not sold. With the black color the wheels kind of fade into the background. I think they might look better with the silver colors.

Wheels are the missing part on this car ... and the wheels can make the car . This was a big mistake for a car that we were all waiting so long to see, {Porsche dropped the ball big time here . Let face it they are nothing special , if they were all 997 owners would be trying to get them so they could put them on their cars . I remember in 95 when the 993 came out and then the 993TT everyone wanted those twisties that were on the turbo becuase they were so unique and made the look of the car . After that most people who bought a 993 ordered those . Now we have a situation where Porsche still does not have a really unique wheel for the 997 or TT everything is kind of Ho Hum .

Here's a close up picture of one of the wheels on my car that the dealer took for me:

I asked them not to clean my car, so the wheels have some of the adhesive from the plastic protective paper on them still. If you look at the wheel in the 5 o'clock area, you will see some of the glue. Still some crud in other areas too.

The wheels look pretty nice and they appear to be well made. At first I was a little skeptical with the look, but I like them.

Too busy. The wheels should be classy but not move your main attention away from the lines of the vehicle. Those last pics make my eyes wander every which way.

The design of the Banjo Wheel was inspired by the Intercooler Outlet behind the rear fender. After trying to clean up the different style, front intake, intercooler inlet and exhaust on the 996TT, the design team adapt the single louver style whic inspired the wheel design. It is a different look for a
Porsche however looks very good in motion.

I must admit the 997TT wheels do look much better in person. I may re-think a change
