Default Official orders

Anyone have an idea when Porsche will officially be letting the dealers place customer orders?

I was told after the launch cars are in, but I can't believe they will wait that long. I would like to know the specs on the 997 TTS.

I placed an order with Brumos (Jacksonville) in February and gave them a deposit of 5K (with the initial 1K deposit to get myself in line for a TT last September). Last week, I was able to still make a change to the options on the ordered TT. In his response, my salesman told me, "allocations are becoming available." My understanding from Brumos in February was that until PCNA informed dealerships of the schedule (when the launch car would be delivered, the number of TT's and the frequency) they'd be assigned, they were at the mercy of PCNA. I also assume that Brumos will have to decide, if they have several customers wanting TT's, just how to assign their allocated TT's. The next few weeks will be interesting to hear back from my saleman when I might expect delivery. I'd be satisfied with September or October.

David1;

Brumos has approximatly 45 deposits down for 997TT's. That is over 4 years worth of allocations!! It will interesting to see how the suppy-demand picture all sorts out. If this level of demand is indicative of the entire US market some people are going to be awaiting a loooong time for a TT.

Best of Luck in your TT delivery.

If that is the case, the value of 996TT's should hold vale or even frim up a bit.

jax911tt--When I said I'd be satisfied with a September or October delivery, I didn't say what year! Seriously, I never inquired with Brumos as to how many deposits they'd received for new tt's. Perhaps the $1000 I paid last summer was my deposit and in February when I was called by my salesman to place the order with options and I paid another $5000, that was something besides a deposit? Hopefully, my (insane?) purchases in the last 27 months of an '04 C4S Cab, an '05 C2S, an '05 C2S Cab and an '06 Cayenne TT will help me from falling to the 45th position of tt wanters.

The same people probably put deposits down at more than one dealership and see who can come up with a car first.

I last heard (via email) from my salesman on April 7 when he said, "allocations are becoming available." I'm going to sit tight and allow him to contact me after the TT decision makers at Brumos make the call if and when I might expect the one I ordered and put down $6K. While I don't expect to necessarily get the first one allocated them after their launch car, someone has to be that lucky person.

It will be interesting to see how this supply-demand balance plays out. Brumos has a lot of deposits! Why don't you ask your sales rep when he thinks you will be able to place your order and an anticipated arrival date? Good luck in your lotto number!!

I placed my order on February 13...selected options and gave him $5000 (in addition to the $1000 deposit I gave him in September). I'll nudge him and the sales manager in the next week if I don't hear from them.

My dealer told me that the official allocation numbers are not yet available, but figuring 2 cars per month, my slot will be for a Sept. build (July order) give or take. Depends on number of cars the dealer will be allowed each month, and if anyone drops out of line ahead of me. Can't wait till Fall!!
