Default Expected displayed boost pressure?

2011 turbo, I’m wondering what are the stock boost numbers you all normally see, and what are the normal over boost numbers you see as well.

If I lock it in 6th at 2.5k rpm and put the pedal to the floor, I see 15psi and ⬆️ on the LCD. I understand stock non-overboost is 14psi; I thought for overboost (the arrow), I should expect to see 17-18. Is that right?

I'm not familiar with the 997.2 but what happens if you're in a lower gear and get higher up in the rpms?

I’ve done this test a few times - lock it in 6th, start at 2.5k rpm, pedal to the floor, and I see 15 psi with the arrow. I THINK it should be reading a bit higher though.

any input appreciated for the general value I should see here when testing this way. Thanks

Not an expert here, but I did see that there is a rubber valve that can develop leaks. I will try to find the video on 997.2 maintenance that I saw this in and post it here.

I think the stock boost gauge maxes out at 17 psi ...stage 2 AIM tune here...I max out at 17 psi (stage 2 boost pressure is higher). From what I remember I don't think I saw more than 15 psi in stock mode. 12 Turbo S

Interesting! What is your actual stage 2 boost value that you’re hitting when the gauge shows 17?

I haven't logged it and my tune is not super aggressive since this cars run out of fueling and I did not want to add methanol....as per AIM it's in the 19 to 20 psi range
