As I’m starting to plan the next steps on my 997, I’m looking at recovering my seats. Issue I have is that my car is equipped with leather covered back sport seats. Trying to see what my options are but before I do that, want to know what’s behind the leather on the back if I chose to remove it. Wondering if anyone might know. Is it just covering the regular hard back panel or is it a whole entire different thing?

Not sure but I suspect it’s a hard back under it. Classic 9 Leather Shop online is your friend.

Suspecting the same. If that’s the case, I would have more options. I either get them painted in body color or reupholstered to match the new leather.
