Default Tensioner replacement

I bought a belt for a 997.2 turbo. I came with 2 pulleys. I believe one goes on the engine, the other on the tensioner assembly. I thought I read somewhere that with the bumper on you take off the license plate and go through a hole to remove something. True? I can’t find that thread. Thanks!

I don't know about the pulleys, but i did my serpentine belt and yes there is a hole behind the plate that is there for that purpose.

To provide a little clarity, the hole is to remove a bolt that goes through. You need to remove that in order to get the belt out. Replacing the belt isn't technical but you do have to maneuver it through some tight spots.

And probably goes without saying, the hole is in the bumper behind the plate bracket, so you have to remove the bracket.
