Default 997.1 shift light help

Howdy folks, so I have an issue.
I have a 997.1 turbo, and I was trying to get this stupid shift light to work.
I have a cartek unit and DRE shift light (caterham supplier) both wired to deutsch connectors under the dash, not at the same time obviously, I bought both to try.
I have the other end as follow:
- neg to chassis ground
- pos to DME terminal for ignition power
- signal to DME terminal pin 6 for coil 1

Now I still cant get these to show correctly.
The cartek club shift light is erratic and will flash at random rpm as if the signal is sporadic.
The DRE shift light has a live view function where you can see the RPM on the display in real time for maintenance. I tried that and itll show like 900rpm or something under 1k rpm and then when I rev itll dip into the 400s.
I set them both to 3 cycles per revolution for the coil signal, but I got nothing. I am going insane trying to figure this out.

The harness I made is a triple set twisted tefzel under raychem dr25 blah blah blah you get the idea its not some cobbled together mess.
I switched out the shift lights back and forth but neither will work right.

Here is an image of what pin I used. Does this look correct? I didnt tap it either, I depinned it and crimped the signal wire directly to the pin base.
Pic shows power and signal wires highlighted.

If anyone cares or runs into this next time, just buy an ecliptech.
The Cartek and DRE and a few others (I contacted every single shift light manufacturer) don't seem to like multi spark ignition when using DME coil output as a signal wire.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk

Yeah they seem to be the only ones that work on this chassis and also have great support.
To be fair I have had good support with all the shift light brands as I was not joking when I said I spoke to everyone.
Most offer an OBD plug in but for a fast response rate hard wiring to DME output is key.
I also have to praise the shipping speed. The day I ordered it, it shipped, and within 48hrs it was in US customs possession from the Australia post.
