Default WTB: Eibach, or OEM Springs, 997 Turbo

RLers,

Hoping to find a set of the discontinued Eibach springs for the 997.1 Turbo or a deal on OEM springs sitting in someone’s parts box.

currently running H&R but desire a little more clearance. Happy to sell those at a discount once swapped.

Thanks!

I would say Eibach consolidated vs discontinued the 997.2 Turbo application. I'm in the process of installing these now, model number 7222.140. I should have it running in a few weeks(waiting on parts).. then I'll know how the ride is.

I have a turbo that was running h&r's, and i wanted the eibachs but they were discontinued. I noticed the turbo cab springs are the same part number as the C4, and since the tubo coupe sits squarly between those 2 in weight i reached out to eibach and they confurmed they do actually fit the turbo coupe. I got the rears installed and im happy with the height, working on the fronts right now.

Here is what the eibach turbo (cab) rear springs look like on a coupe with pasm.
fromts still have the h&rs, no gap at all. Rears now have about a finger.

great info! Please let me know how you like the ride height (visually and practically) after the from is installed. I’m tired to scrapping the front with H&Rs plus I think it looks a tad “slammed.”

I did the same Jackie and just took it for a test ride. Most of the "play" is gone and it wasn't jarring or uncomfortable. Looking forward to a longer drive but so far so good!

It's clearly a mistake on Eibach's part as they listed PN 7222-140 to fit 997 C4S. They must have consolidated...

If you had H&R, I bet you would regret going back to stock. Gap is ridiculous!

I agree that anyone with a turbo coupe can buy 7222-140 with confidence.

I asked eibach directly why they would list them for the c4 and turbo cab, but not the turbo coupe (asked twice) and they just never addressed the question, they just told me they discontinued the other set due to poor sales. That said, they fit and look great.

Took it for a longer drive and the springs def. ride stiffer than stock on city roads. On the freeway the difference slightly less noticeable

Below are a photo of front and rear with eibach, and a photo of the front on an H&R for comparison. Note the car has pasm so it sits lower than a non pasm car. The car is a coupe but these are the spring eibach sells for the turbo cab, they fit the same and ride height matches well front to rear.

Eibach springs rear

Eibach springs front

H&R springs front

How's these springs compare in terms of ride quality?
