I have a couple torn CV boots and the axles are getting tired so I'm gonna replace them. Are OEM my best option or is there an upgraded brand I should consider? My car is tuned to roughly 750hp if that makes a difference. Also, coilovers are on my wishlist so would that affect the decision in any way if I decide to do that in the next year or two? Thanks!

You and I have about the same power output and I still have OEM axles. I’ve looked at other, more beefy axles (EVOMS, DSS, and a couple others) but those are rated for 1000 hp or more and the price is pretty steep IMO. My car has been tuned for close to 8 years with no axle issues. If I find the need to replace an axle or two, I’ll probably stick with OEM. Best of luck!

I'll probably do the same. these are stock and i've been running my E85 tune for over 7 years with plenty of track days at mid ohio and probably a hundred drag runs. If the boots weren't leaking I wouldn't change them, but figured I might as well do the whole thing as long as I'm in there.
Protomotive did my tune--i think Todd Knighton is as good as it gets. My car has been bulletproof for over 7 years on E85. I just have bolt-ons--intercoolers, exhaust, gt3 throttle body and IPD y-pipe, upgraded injectors for the E85, and a tip tune.
When I first got my car in 2011, Wright Motorsport tuned it and it was horrible. I went there because they're local and they know porsche, but they had little to no interest in doing anything other than slapping an off the shelf tune and calling it done. They wouldn't even adjust the tune for my mods. I'm so happy my dayton indy shop recommended Protomotive.

Do you remember what the total cost was to get it tuned?

I think around $2500 but that didn't include my local shop swapping the injectors and then working with Todd sending him data so he could adjust the tune.

A slight derail from OP’s thread, but it depends on how far you want to take it. I’ve seen tuners charge anywhere from $2,500-$3,500 just for the base tune and a handful of back-and-forth tune revisions. Throw some bolt-ons into the mix (e.g., larger turbos, intercoolers, y-pipe, injectors, etc.) with someone else doing the install work and you’re looking at $10k+ in addition to the tune. Todd with Protomotive and Sam with ByDesign are well known and extremely knowledgeable tuners of our cars, you’d be in good hands working with either.
