Default Anyone tried the new Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires?

Has anyone tried the new Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires? Tire Rack says they are similar to the PS4s. I have the OEM Pirellis on mine (new with CPO in 2020) and wanted to look at other options, but tires are super expensive now 😳.

I currently running them in mine. I also have them on my E92 M3. My TT came with MP4S but they were pretty old so it is hard to judge the difference. On my M3 I went from MP4S to the conties. I could tel the difference between the two. I don’t track my car but I do like to go on spirited drives. Overall both tires are similar. Where I feel the Conties shine above the Michelins is on steering response. On the M3 the conties made it super sharp. The first time I got to feel the steering response it actually surprised me at how immediate it was. It was so fast that I had to correct it and I was only turning into another street. I haven’t gotten to try them in the rain yet so I can’t comment on that. The downside is that they are noisy. I noticed the noise more on the 911 than the M3 but I just installed an exhaust on the 911 so it took care of that problem. Oh I also like the fitment of the conties better than the Michelin…it doesn’t look stretched out.

Interesting choice. I have been running Conti DWS06 All seasons (and their predecessors) for years. And by years I'm talking coming up on 20 now (yikes). It's a great tire and I wonder how their construction translates into a Summer construction. I know they have had Summer DW's for years but never had the inkling to order them.

I currently have them on my 911 turbo and have used the various prior iterations of the tire on the 911 and corvettes. Great tires and reasonable cost - I will not go back to Michelins. I do not track my car and these tires are fantastic for normal city and highway travel.

Looks like the Contis would fill the fender much better as well.

I am running them on my 997TT. No complaints. Good grip, low noise. As an added benefit they are the lightest tire of all the major manufacturers by about a pound or more per corner
