As much as I love this car I just can't bring myself to watch DeMuro. His fake, forced laughing and pretending to be astounded at things like the location of a headlight switch is just too much to take. For the life of me I can't understand why this guy has an audience.

This is why I watched Doug. It didn't start with the fake laughing at stupid headlight switch location. It certainly didn't start as hocking cars on his auction site.

If you don't find this enjoyable I just don't know what to tell ya.

Wow, entertaining, and relatable, I had no idea he was once genuine and pleasant. I guess the carnival barker persona must bring in more clicks.

I'd definitely put myself in the Doug Hater camp the last few years but I was actually a subscriber early on when he was doing videos like that. Just seemed more like a regular goofy guy making relatable videos about life with interesting cars. He eventually just became way too money- and clicks-driven, a total slave to the YouTube algorithms.

He has a "getting gas in a ferrari" video thats awesome too and a "running errands" where he straps a tv to the top. Those are great and got me hooked, the conversion to carnival barker took years and had some real car guy stuff between. Like Skwerl I no longer subscribe to him, but there was a time I really loved his content.

I too love my 997 turbo but this guy’s “performance” sure devalues it. I only managed to watch 3 minutes before it triggered a vomit reflex and I had to turn it off. Pity.
