PCCM+ and macarbon climate ***** installed
Picked up my car after getting pccm+ and macarbon climate control *****. Only drove it home from the shop and already blown away - I didn't get this car for infotainment but this is such a major improvement in the driving experience. Anyone on the fence should seriously consider it.

The unit itself is around 1500 give or take a few bucks depending on where you get it and if you add on the maps for built in GPS. My shop charged a few hours labor for the install, so that will vary based on your mechanic rates.
Only downside to me is it is pricey, the unit is missing some features that are kind of standard these days like wireless carplay/android auto. The location of the USB for phone connection is a bit in the way but it's fine for LHD cars, I think it would be more of an issue with RHD cars. I'm going to get a low-profile right angle USB cord to see if that helps the wire location.
Other than that I am very pleased. And the macarbon climate buttons are awesome - no issues with fitment or look from those.

Looks great! I'm one of those on the fence waiting for it to become available. Is there any difference in the actual sound from the old unit to the new? To clarify, there's no bluetooth connection? Is the only way to listed to music on my phone by plugging in USB? Does the USB charge also or is it just data? Thanks!

In terms of audio quality vs CDs/radio I'm not sure. I have been using a cheap FM modulator for Bluetooth for years and I can say the audio is far superior to that. I didn't realize how crappy that was until I started using the pccm+
USB does charge the phone while it's plugged in.
Hope that helps.

I also got the upgrade and like it a lot. Bluetooth is available for music, but carplay requires the cable. Music with your phone connected through cable is way better than by bluetooth. It needs to be an original Apple cable. I had another brand cable in there which did not work at all with carplay.

Now if they didn't flip those plugs on RHD cars...I think it would majorly get in the way.

looks great! Is this only for 997.1 or will it work on 997.2? Anyone know?
