I am trying to separate the bell housing/transmission from the engine. The engine and transmission are out of the car; I have taken all four nuts off, disconnected the hydraulics from the casing and pulled out, and disconnected the intake tub on both sides

My problem is that after a couple of hours of wiggling and pulling, I can separate the bell housing more than a half-inch. Does anybody have any suggestions, or did I miss something?
