Just installed Cup 2’s WOW
So I had N spec PS2’s on my Turbo. Did alignment, DSC controller and handled good but still didn’t give the confidence/feel and feedback I desired when they were pushed. I got a damaged sidewall on one of my rears so I decided to swap them out with Cup 2s (probably would have done 4S but they were back ordered). Glad I didn’t, I can’t believe how well these tires hook up. The car has never given me this much confidence. Even cooler evenings they still hold very well. Highly recommended!
As a side note, I bought my rears as take offs. Apparently the new Mustangs with track package come with 305/30/19 in a square setup so there seems to be many takeoffs available (owners remove them after delivery and install a more street tire).

Good thing you don’t get rain there.

I regret having gone 4s and wish I went with the cup 2.... I'll run these 4s out then go to the cup 2 for sure.
On that note, best for you to swap the fronts as well. One of those controversial topics, but I feel like tires should always match front and rear to retain the same driving characteristics.

I know, was joking....to an extent. Those tires would be useless in Houston. We don't get rain. We get monsoons. It was funny, about a month ago we were in Florida, and we had an entire afternoon of steady light rain. And I turned to my wife and was like "you know, I completely forgot what a constant light rain was like. When was the last time you saw this?". Here it goes from 100% humidity, to a total downpour, back to 100% humidity with blinding sunshine 15 minutes later. Not so car friendly.

I went PS4S's on my last set for my 997.2 TTS... I always wanted to know how much better the Cup 2's would have been.
I will say the 997 NEEDED more grip to inspire more confidence for really aggressive mountain driving. I've had a few scares.
Just did my shakedown run in the mountains yesterday in my new to me 991.2 TTS (with PS4S's / used / not sure how many miles / heat cycles on them).
All I can say is OMG WOW!!! What a difference in handling / confidence this car gives. I can't even imagine how much grip a set of Cup 2's on This car would give.
My old 997.2TTS was an amazing car and I miss it, but..... Wow on Porsche's upgraded models. Makes me wonder how they could even improve on it with the 992TTS.
