New (to me) 997.2 TT
This is my new 997.2 TT. My posting got delayed by a tractor trailer tapping me in the rear quarter panel while driving on I 285 (absolutely soul crushing – only three days after delivery) and then COVID-19 came along.
This was the culmination of an 8-month search for a 997.2. I worked with Tony Marzullo of GAS Motorcars and he found this low-mileage (9,800 miles) cabriolet. I am delighted with the car though I am not getting to drive it nearly as much as I would like.
After a fair amount of research, I recently changed out the stock exhaust for a Europipe and got the GIAC tune. (Thanks to Stef and Big Swole for all the help along the way). I couldn’t be happier! In Normal mode the exhaust note is relatively tame (until pushed harder) and keeps me out of trouble at home. Put it in Sport mode and it’s the perfect balance of sportiness without being obnoxious (I think I’ll be driving in Sport mode mostly) and the PDK responds even better with the extra torque.

It looks super minor, glad to hear it was fixed up. Keep meticulous records and photos...911 buyers are a special breed when it comes to a carfax accident report! Like you said, that just makes you feel even more comfortable putting miles on it which is what they cars are designed to do. Have a blast with your beautiful car!

I am a true believer in driving my cars. I am not a collector (nor could I ever afford to be!) I have yearned for a Porsche of my own since I was 15 and my Dad let me drive his '74 911 T and finally got the chance a couple of years ago. Bought it with 30K on the clock and approaching 50K now. Looking forward to many many more miles of smiles (especially after handling the .1 items to make the car truly bulletproof).
Nice looking example, and go ahead and drive the hell out of it!

Jeff, thanks! The accident was not too bad. When he tapped me, it was like I lost traction and shifted to the right slightly. Very minor damage and Buckhead Collision did a great job - truly as good as new (with a blemish on Carfax). I was struggling with the thought of whether I should try to keep it a low mileage classic or just drive it every chance I had - the accident solved that! Enjoying the hell out of it. Also, diminished value settlement was very good which took some of the sting out!
Excellent attitude towards this. soul crushing is the exact description especially given it was 3 days after purchase!!! Well now you have a clean mint car!! YOLO and now go enjoy the **** out if it!!!

Just installed a DSC Controller based on feedback on this forum and Big Swole and Jeff Jones specifically. Very pleased - a very nice and needed upgrade even though I have not even yet had the chance to really push it. Noticeably smoother on some of the rough streets around Atlanta which are more abundant than I would like. Installation was a breeze once I figured out where the original PASM controller was. Thank you Big Swole for your video! Took less than five minutes!! I was skeptical but am now sold. It makes for a much nicer riding car around town in Normal mode. Look forward to spending some time pushing it in Sport mode.

The DSC website describes it better than I will but here goes. The OEM system has only one channel so all 4 shocks stiffen at once. The DSC system is 4 channel so only the wheel that hits the bump stiffens.
