Default rear spoiler inop...strange though

09 turbo, dash warning light comes on for inop rear spoiler, will not go up or down even if I do manually by pressing the switch but I do hear the motor when I press switch down. Cylinders are dry as a bone...any idea what the problem could be? Thanks for your help..

I think the micro switches just trigger the message that the spoiler is inop. Which in this case its doing its job..

Broken pump? Is there hydraulic fluid along the engine cover rubber seal, or the plate that holds the pump?..... Going through a similar dilemma the last few weeks.

You may or may not see the fluid, it evaporates over time. You may noticed a warped engine lid rubber seal though.

Hydraulic Fluid Leaks - Hydraulic ram cap and rubber lid seal.

Dave, I didn't get the warped seal. Instead I had oil running down the bumper sides and the pump leak was all around the pump housing and draining down the engine cover bumpers. At this point the pump is sitting on the bench, ramps are drained and I'm cleaning up the mess it left behind. Cheers, Tom
