Default Thoughts on this 997 TT?

I remember seeing this car on Ebay a few months back in my home town. I meant to go check it out in person, but never got around to it. At that time, the original owner had the car listed for $78k.

Car popped up on a pretty well known used car dealer for exotics and custom vehicles. Thoughts? I feel like at this mileage, I've seen them listed for mid $70s. Is it the modifications that is keeping it low?

Yeah, I'd say that car has a few things working against it, Supple, non- adaptive seats arent very popular, and I'm not a fan of the wheels.

I think the mods are driving down the cost, too, as what I know about GIAC tunes is that you have to physically remove the ECU to tune it, so I'm not sure how easy it is to go back to stock.. also, I'm not sure how much support you can get from GIAC these days, I've read of some 997 owners having issues with the vendor when troubleshooting driveability problems.

As always, we will have different opinions and that's indeed the beauty of this forum. A MT TT w that low mileage for $68K seems pretty reasonable to me, and if you are one of those that will option it, you're already off to the races. You could always extract the tune and revert to stock. I'm sure there are tuners who can pull that off, perhaps including writing over the current tune (if that's possible). Personally I like the wheels, although, most comrades who own TT's keep the OEM's. I suspect $68 is the asking price, so who knows...

Agree, for that mileage and those quality/expensive mods (minus the hideous wheels), I think that price is pretty good. Most people who get these intend to do an exhaust/tune, and Damptronics aren't cheap. Certainly worth checking out and getting a PPI I think. I'd guess from the mod choice that it wasn't driven gingerly, not that it would bother me personally.

No adaptive sport seats. TRUST ME. You want them!

https://www.toybarncars.com/used/Por...2955749ee4.htm - I'll bet you could get this car for a few bucks off.- $135k MSRP

https://www.ridendrivedallas.com/vdp...allas-TX-75043 - Well optioned 148k MSRP

https://www.holtmotorsports.com/index.php - Call and talk to Tim Holt. He has several sweet .1 available. A really nice GT silver on Coca which is a cool combo. I've bought several cars from Tim and you will pay a small premium usually but his cars are second to none. You can buy a car from this guy sight unseen and never worry. He's very accommodating and usually has some of the nicest stuff around. Given the market he may offer you a deal. Worth the inquiry.
