Interesting question. I am a cabriolet lover and the intoxicating sound of the F430 as compared to my 997.1 6MT TT Cab is a Siren that I hear calling (but it would need to be a spyder)...Originally Posted by krautmeister

While an enticing thought. I would not have the Ferrari due to the simple cost of ownership. I really enjoy my 997.2 TT Cab and the fact that I do not have any worries when going out to enjoy it.

Not if I wanted to drive it...I just don't think that Ferraris hold up when putting miles on them. Nobody does a sports car like Porsche when it comes to the mix of everyday use, incredible performance and reliability.

NEVER!!!! .... We need back seats. so that't the main issue. I would love a Ferrari...well I would probably go Lamborghini but it would be in addition too, Not in lieu of.
Yeah I originally and since childhood coveted the 911 Turbo. Now owning it, it’s beautiful, fun to drive, an amazing machine... but it gets “fun” duty or Fridays to work and I would want a more “special” experience. I would settle for a “slower” 430 to have that exotic sound. I think if I had a GT3, it would be a forever car for me. Then I would consider an addition to.

In essence you answered your own question. We're all funny, in our homo sapien ways, esp us car guy/gear heads. We finally acquire what we've always wanted and that which we think is the best of the best, then our minds wander. All I can say is two buddies have had 430's and sadly, it seemed like all too many times they'd turn the key...and then silence. They are great to behold, but very expensive to own.Originally Posted by krautmeister

bschurr that is beautiful color combo!
i have to say.... the Lusso is coming down in price to about a level that I would have considered...V12, practical, under the radar, and sexy to my eyes...but not after this virus...
I will say, my buddy has an F12 that he daily drives in Brooklyn that has been bullit proof!
I’ll stick with my cab and dream about a europipe to make it sexier....

My friend has a Ferrari 430 F1. Great car. I have not been in a 599. I would recommend at least trying to get a ride in each, find someone within an hour or two on FerrariChat that has one, or talk with people in the local Ferrari Club. It is worth it.
My favorite cars to ride in have also been my favorite cars to drive.
