APR R1 Diverter Valve (DV) Now Available for Multiple Porsche Turbocharged Engines

We are pleased to announce the world famous APR R1 Diverter Valve (DV) is now compatible with multiple Porsche turbocharged engines! This announcement comes after more than a decade of successful operation on thousands of vehicles worldwide!

The APR R1 DV is a critical performance upgrade recommended at all stages of performance as it replaces the failure prone factory unit. The R1 is designed to withstand extreme boost pressures at the highest levels of performance, while offering lightning fast response thanks to the unit’s friction-free diaphragm-based design. Unlike piston based units that can stick and bind in the winter, the APR R1 is virtually maintenance free, requiring no greasing or o-ring replacements, as is common with other units. Constructed from CNC-machined billet-aluminum with a high-temperature Nomex-reinforced diaphragm, the R1 is designed to be the last DV upgrade the engine will ever need!

This unit generally replaces the factory "710" piston style DV which has 1 inch inlet and outlet hoses, and will look physically similar in shape. It's not designed to replace an on turbo DV, both manual and electronic, as found in the 997.1 Turbo, and latest generation Panamera 2.9T/3.0T/4.0T and others, both of which look dramatically different in physical shape and appearance.

Very cool. Are you guys releasing the APR tuning software upgrade for 997.2 (2010-2013) twin turbo’s? I see the software for 997.1 TT, 991.2 carrera’s, and 991.2 Twin Turbos. But the 997.2 TT is not listed. Inquiring minds want to know as you’ll get a a purchaser

Any reason to upgrade when I'm 100% stock so no tune, etc. Are OEM ones known to fail?

It's not for the 997.1. Only .2's

I cant promise anything there yet, but I would like to go back and tune all of the turbo modes missing from our catalogue. I can see that happening after the 992. We’ll likely hit the 991.1 first, and then 997.2. It will likely come down to vehicle availability though. If you can donate your car, we’ll give you tuning for free.

correct. 997.1 has a different style DV. These are not directly compatible.

I’m happy to donate my car. I’m in Chicago. Message me for info and details and I’d be glad to serve as guinea pig. Thx
