Just purchased a 2008 997.1 Turbo. I reviewed the PCM/amp/nav software and it all seems to have been updated.

Quick question- How do I determine the version of the "maps" that are loaded in the system? Pull out the DVD and read the label or is there another way?

I believe you need to hold down the "main" and "trip" buttons and an information screen will pop up and you can dial through the various software versions that you have. I believe there are some caveats to it, so search the site here and 6speed for answers. The last map revision for the PCM 2.1 I believe is 2015

 

I may have misread your post. I don't know if this information shows on the PCM or not
