Cross Country 997TT Trip

Cross Country 997TT Trip
I'm getting ready to travel across the country (CO to GA) in my 997 Turbo. I'll have a roof box on top and loaded the limited cargo space with a good amount of weight.
I've had the alignment checked, the tires are fairly new (5k mi), brake pads and fluids all within spec. I did an oil change about 5 months / 3k miles ago, so I'll change it upon arrival, and have a quart with me in the event I burn any oil.
My questions for the experts: Anything else I should adjust or be concerned with? Should my tire pressure be adjusted for being under load (~1000 lbs).
Thanks in advance.

I would def. use OEM pressures for the weight. Better mileage too.
What part of GA you heading too? I'm just North of ATL.

I've done X country r.t. twice. Coast to coast.
1. 1000 lbs is too much load. I would ship UPS cheapest and avoid the roof box. Gas saved will pay part of the shipping.
3. Braking distance on a crowded interstate will be a problem with the weight.
Then again, it's not all the way cross country, so the convenience of taking the stuff with you on the roof box may outweigh the downsides.

Thanks for the note -- I ended up with maybe 80 in the roof box (max load 150), 50 in the front boot, and about 250 in the cab with me, evenly distributed.
Car did great, averaged 19 mpg, not one issue. Did watch the PSI creep up with the heat as the tires got hotter during the heatwave and spirited drive across I-70.
I will say that drivers East of the Mississippi do not know how to drive -- the left lane is for passing!

What tire pressure did you end up running for this trip?
