You can buy a new one from SunCoast, Amazon or ebay for a few bucks. Haven't heard of one breaking before.

What a coincidence. Mine too just last week.
|
Mine as well.
|
Mine too a few months ago.
|
Crazy, mine snapped just over a week ago.
|
Can I pin mine to prevent this from happening? Is it a gas cap out procedure?;)
|
F$#k it, I'm going to go break mine now.

I'm part of this club. My gas cap refuses to be contained.

I just received the one I ordered from Amazon
Porsche 986 987 996 997 gas Fuel Cap +Clip GENUINE oem pertrol tank filler coverby 4.2 out of 5 stars | Price:$19.79 FREE One-Day DIY Tip: Where the cable attaches to the metal body work, you need a needle nose pliers to pull the plastic expanding screw up away from the hole. Grip tight before you pull. It looks like it might be a Phillips head metal screw or Allen, but it's not. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...100b4c38eb.jpg |
I looked at that one. You bought the set where it comes with the new cap as well. I keep wanting the Alluminum look one but then realize it is only me that ever sees it.

I just set the cap on the window above the wiper. I think that;s the same thing I did when I was driving my Dad's 911's in the 70's.

I changed mine over the weekend. You don’t need to buy the clip. It’s a lien release clip so just push the center of the clip and the pin will fall out alllowjnf you to remove the stock clip a reuse. $20 and life is good again :-)
