DIY Tip:
Where the cable attaches to the metal body work, you need a needle nose pliers to pull the plastic expanding screw up away from the hole. Grip tight before you pull. It looks like it might be a Phillips head metal screw or Allen, but it's not.

I just set the cap on the window above the wiper. I think that;s the same thing I did when I was driving my Dad's 911's in the 70's.

I changed mine over the weekend. You don’t need to buy the clip. It’s a lien release clip so just push the center of the clip and the pin will fall out alllowjnf you to remove the stock clip a reuse. $20 and life is good again :-)
