Default Magnetic drain plug and Spin on oil filter adapter good for 997.1 turbo?

Hello,

I have a 996 with a magnetic oil drain plug and spin on oil adapter. Are these mods recommended for a 997.1 TT also? Id like to see if I buy them for my 997.1 Turbo.

Thanks

I've got a magnetic drain plug on my Turbo. Intending on changing oil this weekend, will see if it has anything attached

This is the spin on oil filter adapter. But noticed it doesn't fit the Turbo.

i dont use a magnetic drain plug since i send oil samples to blackstone and that would corrupt the sample. also no need for any adapter the oem filter setup saved my motor when a lifter was sucked thru the engine. the amount of metal caught in the filter was amazing

I've always used the magnetic drain plugs from pelican, Ira nice to see if anything sticks.

I don't believe there's a spin on adapter for the turbo, and I can see why. The position of the filter makes changes very easy and the benefit of the spin on filters has been debated on the boards. I prefer the stock set up.
