There's also this tool if you want to look at production numbers with options. I also cannot vouch for completeness and accuracy, but it's something. https://**********/vehiclesearch/

2009 was the last year of the 997.1 Turbo, so they are relatively more desirable than prior years. You get the updated interior of the incoming 997.2 but still get the Mezger engine. Prices are more accessible than a 997.2 as well. I think there are a couple for sale right now. You may have to wait for a very low mileage one though, as these cars are 10 years old now. It depends on what your objective is - why do you want a very low mileage car? Investment? A low mileage car will likely cause you more headaches down the road since it would've been sitting longer and hoses, gaskets, etc will be deteriorated more. I'd rather have one with some miles and good maintenance history. They made like 10x more 997.1s than 997.2s, so if you're after a rare car those are the ones. I've been looking for a 997.2 with a manual for almost a year now...

997.2 gen had model years of 2010-2013. I think $99K is high for a 997.1 (assuming it's a manual and mint). If you weren't picky on miles or perfect condition, .1s can be picked up in the $60Ks. Check Bring a Trailer for some comps https://bringatrailer.com/porsche/997-turbo/. Also check out this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ut-normal.html

I found a link awhile back on the forum and saved it to my phone. Here are the production numbers for the 997.1 Turbo Manuel Shift both cabs and coupes.
2007 Total Built 3,651, MT built 2,434
2008 Total Built 1,248, MT built 624
2009 Total Built 583, MT built 226
The link also broke it down by color both interior and exterior. If I could do it all over again, I would have waited for a 2009 MT coupe.

2009 here we go.
Been doing my search for a bit.
Here is the deal.
2007-2008: you can find low mileage examples, but expect to pay a slight premium. Clean DME, PPI and low mileage will cost a bump (8-12k over lower examples). plenty of high mileage and poor DMEs are out there.
2009: modded, or low mileage with bad DMEs. If the car is bone stock +low miles - expect a premium (prob 10-15k over "normal')
I stoppped looking at .2 TTs b/c "dealers" would buy them private and flip for 15-20k profit on them. Created an upmarket and now every dude (or dudette) with a 0.2 TT is selling their cars with similar markups.
Stick with the 07-09 TTs for now until the market tells you otherwise. These cars have flattened out on the curve and barring a deep recession, should hold and increase value with time (hoping for the 993 effect).

Here is the link for the production numbers, just remember during 2008-09 the recession hit and not a lot of 997.1 TT were made. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turb...-997-tt-6.html

OP: all other things being equal, ‘09 will always command a premium over the 07-08’s. Only time it won’t is if seller doesn’t know what they have. Also may not ever have to do coolant pipes as leaking issue seems to mostly affect 07-08’s, almost exclusively but it’s been debated. If you’re looking for a deal or discount you may be better off with 07-08 as it’s virtually the same exact car. Some say the updated PCM changes the interior but I can’t speak to it as I’ve never had both.
Good luck with your search. I wouldn’t let mine go for less than 95k unless I had some type of pressure to sell.

Please stop spreading ignorance. $99k is high for a manual ‘09 with 7k miles? Really? What options does it have? How about original msrp? And is it at a dealer or is it private party, how about records or no records, up to date maintenance? You don’t know any of that yet you say it’s high

Hey I would say everything is high if I were trying to buy one too https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...r-or-grey.html
Here's a PTS RS green 09 with 17k miles, Dealer is asking close to 140K! https://www.holtmotorsports.com/inve...S-Green/766463

I agree with your criteria to determine a fair market price. OP didn't specify that it was a 2009 manual, so my statement was based the broad spread for 997.1s. Look at the scatter plots on BaT and the 6speedonline thread I provided. There will always be outliers for options, mileage, condition, etc. I also believe if you get above the $90-100K mark, you're into 997.2 territory.
