Default Clutch Return Issue

Fellow turbo owners, having a weird feeling with the clutch. When I push it in, no issue. On return, it comes back normal but the last half inch or so there seems to be a slight "step" like it was a 2-stage? Happened about 200 miles ago car has 73,500 miles and was converted to GT2 slave, Sachs 2.5, and new return spring at 59k miles mid 2017.

Anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance!

Lie down in the footwell and push the clutch in by hand (everything off). It will be a pain due to the tight space and GT2 slave. Where do you feel the click/resistance? That in and of itself may help you isolate the problem.

I would start by looking at the clutch master cylinder and seals. Pull off the plastic panels in the frunk and take a close look. Is there ample fluid? Is there any evidence of leaking? Are you 100% sure there wasn't a drop of pentosin left in when you did the slave conversion?

One other thing -- how is the carpet beneath your clutch pedal? Mine is a bit torn up from the pedal edge and also my floomat sometimes creeps up. This, at times, creates a little resistance when the clutch is released and returning to its normal position.

Took the car into the shop, apparently the clutch fluid was low and "milky". Brake fluid was perfect. Clutch fluid was swapped out in 2016 I believe when the GT2 slave was done, not sure how often it needs to be replaced but had the shop put in new fluid. Clutch feels normal again. Yay!

Also had the alignment reworked to GT3 spec and took the car through some corners...man I love that handling. All the mods meant nothing without the GT3 spec alignment. Hopefully will get some testing runs on the new intercoolers this weekend. Very interested to see what the IATs are at different speeds, hopefully can get out during the same ambient of about 65 degrees F and same driving speeds from right before I took off the Champions last week.

Howdy Leatherneck...so did you get your land of milk and honey Miramar post? As for your future scooter, if you are going to be a dog, be a Great Dane...shoot for the V4R (I had to cancel my reservation due to well you know my neuro issue)

EDIT: Nevermind, you already got the GT2 slave conversion.

Although I would love a V4R, financially I will have to stick with a V4S after my Streetfighter sells. My buddy has his listed for $35k after finding out his back injury means he can never ride again, it is oozing with carbon fiber, rizoma parts, the Full Akrapovic exhaust, and the BEAUTIFUL matte Carbon BST wheels. Also has an extended warranty until 2022 I believe, and maintenance covered through 2020. Price is $28 k for me...it has 600 miles on it!

If your son wants my 1098 Streetfighter S so I can fund my V4S, let me know. Will give an excellent deal, shipped. What is the status on your car, is it sold?

Yes, I really want to drive a completely stock turbo and see what the difference is with power, handling, and shifting.
