Hopefully OP reports back soon about his new car, and not that the "dealership" ended up being a cornfield in the middle of nowhere.

You guys may not be factoring mileage in so well. He said it has over 40k miles on it, which is a big price reduction on a car this 'new', even a Porsche. I'd say it may be priced $8-10k low ($73k versus $80-83k market) but you can definitely buy higher mileage 997.2 TTS cars for $80-85k, particularly in winter. This isn't a low mileage cream puff in an ultra rare color. It doesn't sound like a scam to me, and the OP admitted he undercut the price by $3k over what they advertised it for.

I look forward to hearing the rest of the story, and hope it works out for the OP of course. Is it a sunroof delete car?

Selfishly, given my car and mileage, I hope it’s scam.
For the OP, I hope it’s a deal.

I just don’t want to start seeing these go that cheap.
Regardless of how I feel, these are mid-80s cars, even at mileage that high.

Well guys there is the link. I had not posted it because I did not want a chance of someone getting the deal from under me. As for the car, ended up buying it for $72,000 and got the 4yr - 48,000 mile Fidelity Platinum warranty for $6,200.

The car is in great condition but does have some rock chips on the front bumper and hood (nothing I believe is excessive for the year and mileage) as well as the front splitter needs to be replaced as it has been scrapped a few to many times. At the end of the day I think the deal turned out good.

The best pricing on a used vehicle is usually on another brand's dealership based on my experience.

They might not be up to date on another brands market value or price trends plus they want to make it look like their brand's product holds its resale value better than the competitor's cars do.

However, the guy who traded this in on an Audi (?) didn't get very much either then relative to what we seem to think it is worth.

Congratulations!!!!! I would highly doubt a brand new car dealer will try to create a scam and if there was something wrong with the car, they would of auctioned it off.

Very well bought and post some more pictures as you make it your own!
