Key intermittent
#2
Three Wheelin'
On about every 1 out of 10-15 starts, I don't get a response from the car when inserting the key. Have to remove and usually works on 2nd attempt (one time 4 attempts). I'm thinking ignition switch, as the car has 70K miles and is behaving like my 986 S at about 65K. Replacing the ignition switch did the trick at that time.
Thoughts? TIA

Have you tried both keys? Could be a key fob battery...

It certainly sounds like the switch, although it could be the starter or the wiring to the starter. Do all the dash lights come on and everything else look normal, just no crank, or do the electronics not respond to the key at all?

Wonder if it could be the "pill" reader? Not sure where it is, but the key fob pill needs to "talk" to the receiver in the car before anything will happen.
