Default Interesting video on the science behind the larger rear wheels on the GTxRS cars.

I had never heard that before; that matching the rear/front weight bias of the 911 with tire foot print bias is why Porsche puts taller/wider tires at the rear of the GTxRS cars.

A short video but a good one...also gives a couple good tips about 911 cornering geometry.

Interesting. Sort of makes you wonder why front engine cars don't have fatter tires up front! Thanks for sharing.

Some do - front-engined front-drive drag race cars at least!

I think it has to do with the fact the gt2 porsches are rear wheel drive, in addition to being rear engined magnifies the need for rear end grip
