997 TT values in 3-5 years

I too think they have bottomed out. As for the future? Always related to economy and a bit related to production numbers. 997Turbos? There were quite a few made. As long as the economy holds, we are OK, if it tanks than we could be driving paper weights. Lots of manuals out there, but in the Turbos, you did not get PDK until 2010. So, if you are concerned with future values, manual coupes tend to do better.

Ageed on many points. IMHO If you pick the right Porsche it will appreciate, you get to own it, have fun with it and still get your money back. I knew the 930s were going to appreciate when they went to watercooled just because there were purists out there. I bought mine for 25K in 2004 and sold it in 2017 for 100K. Not a bad gain and the speculation was correct. It had only put 35K miles on it but had a blast driving it. It was a seasonal car due to wheather so I only put 3-5K miles on it a year. I felt the next car that would do that is the 997TTs the last of the non drive by wire cars for the most part. If I want to powerslide it in a corner it will let me. The new ones have some seperation from driver to car but for most people it makes them faster not slower. I've been racing 911s for 30 years so I pefer the control just because.
As for my 997.2TT it has gone up in value 40K in two years. I expect in 3-5 more with the onslaught of EVs in the market we could see window sticker prices for resales under 40K miles so it is not insaine to expect to drive it and make alittle money or at least get it all back if your under 60K miles.
Just my experience.
Cheers, Mike

Yes, without question the .2. It's a much more capable transmission with more gears, quicker shifting. The Merc-sourced 5 speed Tip is reportedly pretty stout & auto's work great for turbo motors, so not a knock, but the PDK is a large step forward in technology and performance.
