Can't find a silver turbo coupe I want, so I think I will make a compromise. How high do you think this will go? I might be a new owner by tomorrow...

Yeah, I think "compromise" or "settling" usually is more on color or some options. Coupe to cabrio seems like a big one.
The TT market seems unpredictable these days so no good idea on the final hammer price, but I don't think I'd ever list a car on BaT simply because of all the bickering you have to deal with in the peanut gallery.

I assumed it was much more enthusiast based. Shockingly, it makes listing on eBay seem appealing, which is hard to imagine.

Good advice! As someone who recently listed on BAT, I can tell you it's not an ideal venue. Essentially dealers and posers use it as a marketing tool. Their membership tends to be bored spectators without serious interest and/or resources. I also get the definite sense there is manipulation of the bidding and promotion of favored listings. Shilling by friends of dealers etc.

As a seller, getting top dollar and not paying anything more than a tiny fee seems like it would be worth the hassle of dealing with the collective's comments, some of whom know a thing or two about Turbo's an others who haven't a clue...
I'm guessing it wasn't a Turbo you were selling on BAT?

There's a nice 2009 vert for sale on here. Less than 10K miles. Manual. No affiliation.

There's a rare (59) very nice well equipped silver/black 2012 TT MT Cab currently for sale on BAT. Current bid is $65K. I would be all over this if I was in the market!

i've definitely seen deals on final prices paid on an occasional BAT auction, but not so much with 996/997 Turbos and GT cars. Very few bargains, but quite a few nice looking cars! IMHO Bat is a great Porsche seller market, but at best a so-so buyers market. Very rarely to I see a sold BAT Porsche and wish I had scored it at the final price.
