Default HELP: Question with Fidelity Warranty replacing parts with non-OEM

Gents, looking for a quick answer with some experience in this subject.

Basically my driver side turbo failed and fidelity is authorizing the repair. Is there any way, in your experience, that I can order aftermarket turbos from Kevin at UMW or Champion with the money instead of buying OEM? Or do I HAVE to get an OEM part?

Looking for some info asap! Thanks in advance

No real input, but my 09 has similar mileage to yours and I'm just curious what it's like when the turbo fails. Did you get a CEL, or did it just stop making full boost in the middle of a drive, or grinding noises, etc.?

Wasn't hitting full boost. Also was leaking a little bit of oil. Mainly getting like 12-15 PSI even in sport mode for a second then dropped to 9-12 at WOT. So a firm push into my seat vs the normal "WOOOO LETS GO!" I normally feel when I hammer it

i would think since your only replacing 1 turbo and the other turbos are modified they wont match and cause more issues then you want. replace it with oem remove them and sell them if you want aftermartket

Where did you take it. I would guess only OEM, especially if you went to a porsche dealer

Took it to an indy shop, we just went with OEM turbos. Waiting for Kevin to send me my new tune after doing some runs. Hoping it transforms the car as much as people say it does!
