Default Rennkit eRam install

Cruising down the road minding my business and bam, spoiler failure alert. Open the trunk and their is hydraulic fluid come out of the left ram. I thought about rebuilding until I saw the eRam kit. Finally got to do the install tonight and I am definitely impressed with the fii and finish of the kit. The whole job took me 3 hours. Here are some pics:

Very interested to follow your thoughts on this after you’ve had time to experience it. And any others who might chime in.

While my rams aren’t failing yet, my PPI showed that the left ram is wet (not leaking, but wet). I suspect it’ll fail some time in the near future, and the eRam kit sounds like a very intriguing option!

Install was pretty straight forward. I got the 2 inch rams so it was definitely tight working area. Just took it for a drive and everything functioned properly. Really happy with the product and the customer support I received. The hydraulic oil definitely made a mess!

Thanks for this unsolicited post John! Glad the install went well - I'll add the rubber sleeves on the wrench trick to the instructions. Save the old hydraulics for the next owner - put them in a waterproof plastic bin (though I'll bet you a steak dinner nobody will ever go back). Please let us know if you ever have any questions.

Thanks for sharing and posting the photos of your install. I just read about his kit yesterday and was curious about the installation and it seems like it is pretty straightforward. Out of curiosity, is the small circuit board in your photo #6 part of the kit or the original wiring for the hydraulic system?

That circuit board is part of the kit.

there are different options on their website. I went with the stock option for 1500 which is way cheaper than a factory replacement.

Thanks for the write up. This is an interesting product and I'll keep it in mind should stock one fail. I do wonder if the models with the longer rams help with high speed stability.

Just purchased the 4" ram kit for my 11 cab. Just had it checked and was told one side is weeping, and I decided to preemptively replace. Also, want my wing higher up when deployed. Thanks for the Rennlist discount!
