You win the internet. Haha. Such a great spec and build. Enjoy it.

I'm glad it all worked out for you Luan.

The internet is pretty crazy.

None of this would have been possible just 20 years ago...

ENJOY!!!

Thanks everyone! Appreciate all the compliments on the color combo. That was one of the big reasons why I went with this particular example. I absolutely love it -- I find myself just sitting in front of my house and just staring at it Neighbors probably think I'm a loon.

I have the exact same color combo except the interior is 2 tone so the dash top is black. Best luck with her.

I have the deviated two tone as well. The reason I bought the car was for the interior. Beautiful car.

Hey everyone! Back with a few summer updates:
1) Tint -- 30% ceramic tint all around. I wanted 35%, but they didn't offer that in the ceramic variety.
2) Opticoat Pro -- I did it to make car washing easier, however, I don't see any improvement in terms of hydrophobic-ness. I do think it's glossier in appearance though, so I guess that's a good thing.
3) Signature SV104s in Brushed Black Triple Tint -- In light they're a dark gunmetal, and in shade they're pretty much black. 19x9 ET45 with 245/35R19 fronts and 19x12 ET45 with 325/30R19 rears. Went with Conti Extremes. Keeping the stock wheels to run my winters.

Still resisting the urge to do exhaust+tune. Also resisting the urge to drop her half an inch, though I do think the stance would look sooo much better with a drop. Time will tell...

Loon, amazing color combo!

Question for you. How did you find this car? Cars.com, this forum, etc?

Enjoy your Turbo in good health!

Thanks, guys! The more I spend time on this and other forums, the more I realize how LUCKY I was to find my car. It truly was/is in immaculate condition, and in a really special color combo.

My friend (in Santa Clara) knew I was looking for a 997TT, so he randomly found this one on the local Craigslist. I'm from Seattle, so I would've never stumbled across it otherwise. The seller is an accountant, and happened to list it on Craigslist right before tax season hit. His plan was to eventually list it on all of the major, nationwide classifieds, but before he did, I already struck a deal with him. In the 3 weeks it took me to close the deal, he received many other offers, most of them offering more money than me. However, the seller honored our agreement and went through with the sale to me. Total class act!

So in summary, I got really lucky and all the stars happened to align for me

I have found almost all of my cars on Craigslist. It's a great resource.

I sent a few CL examples to Loonwin as well but he chose wisely. I believe this particluar exterior finish is not offered any longer. PCCBs and carbon / terracotta interior along with low miles really set this car apart IMO.

Loonwin was smart to jump on it and smart not to haggle.

I was lucky enough to find my 2009 TT here on RL by contacting a forum member and striking a deal immediately without seeing the car.

The guys trying to barter and knock down asking prices usually don't have any luck from what I've seen and heard. Just my experience and what I've heard first hand from other RL's.

I am definitely envious as this example had every option I wanted, especially the exterior finish. It was out of my price range though, but man, what a car!

You better keep this one for a while Loonwin!!!

ENJOY!!!

Gorgeous car, Congratulations!

I would not lower it if it is your daily with the lack of roads we have in Seattle.

Hope to see you around.
