Default Extend/Add-On Additional Fidelity Warranty?

So this is my predicament, I think I know what I am going to do but just need some assistance from the group before pulling the trigger.

2009 Turbo, 67k Miles. Platinum care until 12/30/2020 or 103k miles.

Just talked to a lovely lady about adding more years and miles to my warranty. She gave me
3 additional years to 12/30/2023
42k miles so 145k miles
$5,100(possibly about $500 less with military discount) paid over 18 months with no interest charge.

I love this car. Even though I just got the worst ticket of my life this past weekend, I still love it. My fidelity warranty this far has paid for about $3k worth of repairs and I got my 60k service for like $500 because my ignition coils threw a code and I just had to pay for the parts for spark plugs.

I don't know why I am still typing. I think the answer is probably obvious to just buy the additional platinum care.

And then if Kevin wants to tune my car harder and well I break a rod...I suppose I can pay for Carillo's out of pocket since the engine will be open anyways

Sounds like you are risk averse(like myself) - cars only getting older and more things will break.

I'm really just here to get more details on this ticket...how bad was it??

No brainer - get the warranty and a better radar detector. Also interested in the ticket.

Just picked up a 2011 turbo (57k), and also thinking about getting a fidelity warranty. Mind sharing who you spoke with, seems like you got a good rate. This would be first time coverage, not renewal.

I am in the same situation as IXXI TT, just picked up a 2008 turbo (42k) and interested in getting a quote for the Fidelity Platinum plan. I got a quote from the local Audi dealer for the Fidelity plan at $9,700 for 6 yrs w/ $100 deductible. I told them that was crazy and asked them to give me a quote w/ a $250 deductible but they have gone radio silent now.

I have also emailed mjourdan@mossymotors.com as I saw on several threads here that he was selling the Fidelity plans for fair prices a while ago but he has not responded.

So there I was...on my local road leading to the highway(55mph) just minding my own business. Windows down, sunroof open...and the fatal flaw...volume on my Valentine 1 turned all the way down.

She rolls up. A murdered out new Ford Raptor, sounded great and looked amazing. Was very tuned(Hennessy?) because they pulled up next to me around 60mph then rocketed away faster than any truck should move. I don't care. I just keep enjoying my nice late Spring day. They slow down and the window rolls down.

I see her face. Perfection, wavy blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. She waves and winks, making a "lets go" signal with her hands waving her perfectly tanned and toned arms. The testosterone kicks in, drop into 3rd and we just go. Its an early morning so there is no one on the road. I would like to think she was going to Church, she seemed like the time. An angel in a tuned up Raptor.

then it happens. Before we could turn onto the highway, I see the cop come around the corner and lights come on. We were going...fast. Triple digits. I look up at my Valentine, its pegged out in KA band. Volume was down so I couldn't hear it. She keeps going, but I stop. Last I need on the new is "Military Officer" involved in high speed chase down highway.

Lawyers got it reduced to a 9 over, cost about $600 in fees all in all. But man. I hope I see her again.

Damn you testosterone.

i've had 6 yrs 60k miles fidelity platinum warranty on 3 porsches- still have coverage on my 07-TT for another yr- They've paid out few times w/o any issue -for major >$4k repairs on wifes 07 boxster S twice & some minor stuff on other cars. One item to be aware of for cars with >50k miles is the exclusion in the contract for "wear items" on cars with >50k miles. Though they covered torque converter in wifes high mileage Boxster S Tip on one visit & on another they covered Steering Rack & other items. I've had absolutely no issues with the Fidelity Platinum coverage over the yrs.
