Default 997 turbo lights problem ????

This is what they look like after 2 hour drive with the lights on. Same both sides
Hi can anybody help me ?? I have a 2008 997 turbo. I have noticed that the front lights have started to steam up, like there is condensation behind the light lenses, these are a sealed unit ? The temperature has dropped outside in the night to -2 and 4 in the day time in the uk as of late. I have been told by somebody that this is normal when temp drops outside, I only use the car 2-3 times a week prob about 10-20 Miles a week. I don’t drive it in the rain. And prob haven’t put the lights on a lot, I baby the car. I ve never even jet washed it. It’s only done 20000 Miles from new. I am worried about it as I love my car. Please reply 👍

I can't help you on the condensation issue, but you have a great user name! Welcome.

Here is a quote from a guy who owns a Macan GTS:

My brand new GTS had condensation in both headlights upon delivery. I immediately brought it up the sales and service advisor who told me this is normal due to the design of the headlights. The passenger side light cleared up within a day of driving, the driver side has been much slower and has large water droplets forming on the inside. Took it by after week because i was worried about possible staining inside the lamp from the moisture and my SA told me the requirements for Porsche to approve a warranty claim is if water is pooling at the bottom/inside the housing, and if my water droplets (looks like rain water on a windshield) flow down into the bottom then we will have it replaced. She sometimes it takes a few weeks for it all to clear up. So I'll keep monitoring it and check back in with the SA in a few weeks if it isn't resolved.

According to this thread, some condensation is normal. There apparently is reference to it in the owner's manual.

Had this with the inside of a windshield on our Lexus IS350.

Cleared up after a few days. I suspect it was dependent on ambient humidity.

Only had it once on the TT, caused by a cracked headlight lens.
