I cannot speak for other’s motivation, and don’t want to make a sweaping statement...but...in my case, bought the car remotely, unseen, because it was the exact spec I was looking for. Realizing that I was dealing with a dealership that could not give two sh*ts once the car left the lot, and considering I beat the living crap out of them in the negotiations (once they showed what dbags they truly were) it was best to protect myself with the warrant from the money saved in negotiations. So far so good.

Results may vary, consult a physician if you experience a 4hr erection after getting car sorted from said warranty...zoom zoom! 😀

Convertible top struts were leaking causing the motor to starve from oil. Replaced both hydraulic rams.

They quoted it as a $3,600 job...which was covered under Fidelity Platinum...$250 out of pocket on this one.

I'm seriously thinking of buying a Fidelity Warranty instead of spending money on tuning. I love power but I think the peace of mind would mean FAR more to me in the end. I do drive my car when I can and love to go on long mountain road trips. It's not daily but I get it out every chance I can.

I have a 2012 997.2 Turbo S with 33K miles. Full service history from the only two previous owners. Only mod is a Europipe Exhaust and a TPC DSC module in place of stock PASM.

Can anyone give me a quote or PM someone to use for a great price on a Fidelity Warranty???

Thank you,

David

I would contact Michael Jourdan at Mossy Motors. I didn't buy from him since I ended up buying a CPO car, but when that is out, I will buy from him.

FYI, just had the DSG transmission on my S4 go and they covered the entire repair, even with the powertrain warranty which I was very happy with. Warranty paid for itself multiple times over.

Thank you! Do you recommend the Platinum for my car? I'm thinking that might be the only way to go. I know the deductible amounts change price, but I'm not worried about $100 vs. 250 vs. 500 really, unless the total price is drastically different.

EDIT: Just trying calling them. They must be closed. No answer. I'll try back on Monday.

FWIW, I paid $5500 for Fidelity platinum on my ‘08 Turbo from the dealer. Car had 4,500 miles when I bought it. After reading about the spoiler drives and coolant hoses, i figured it was worth it. Sure enough, within 6 months, the spoiler was akimbo. When the dealer made the claim, Fidelity initially refused, stating that the spoiler was cosmetic not functional (that’s a whole nuther thread). I told the dealer it was their responsibility as they sold me the warranty and we had reviewed in detail exactly what was excluded and the spoiler hydraulics wasn’t on the list. After a lot of hand-wringing and back and forth between Fidelity and the dealer, Fidelity covered it 100%. The total cost was about $4,200.

I may not need to use it again but given the risk I feel better having it.

When I checked with Mike at Mossy the (6/60 platinum) warranties for a 40k mile 911 were $7500 (after all discounts).

I got some good quotes from MJ. Nice guy.

Lots of options to chose from (I'm on considering the Platinum).

A (5 / 60) from Fidelity will be about $800-900 more than the one you purchased back then.

Unless someone these days give even better discounts than I've heard so far.
