Has anyone had any kind of experience with them?
Hows the price?
Also which company is better?
Thank you
36 MONTHS 36000 MILES FROM DATE WARRANTY PURCHASED $ 100 DECUTIBLE FIDELITY IS THE COMPANY $ 4430.00
36MONTHS 45000 MILES FROM DATE WARRANTY PURCHASED $ 100 DECTUBILE UNITER AUTO CARE $ 4710.00
BOTH ARE PLATINUM COVERAGE
Never used either company. When I bought my used 2003 Turbo the dealer offered to rebate some money to me *if* I agreed to buy a Fidelity warranty (service contract/plan) instead of the CPO. I don't recall the dollar amounts but it would have essentially had the dealer handing me $2000 (just a number) then me turning around and handing this money back to the dealer and getting a Fidelity contract.

I did some checking and generally Fidelity received good reviews. Techs I talked to said that the Fidelity rep when a claim is presented is often a bit of a bother asking tons of questions seeking to find a valid reason to deny the claim, but the techs are used to this.

I have no experience/knowledge of United Auto Care.

I elected to decline the Fidelity plan and the CPO paperwork came through in just a few days.

My 2nd hand info is these aftermarket warranties provide a dealer a pretty good profit margin. If you decide you want say a Fidelity warranty make an offer less than the $4430. How much less? I don't know the answer to that. $1000 less? I mean would you accept the Fidelity warranty if you could get it for $3330?

Be sure also to read the fine print and know just which warranty/service plan you are getting. There are generally 2 or 3 flavors and what they cover varies considerably. The less expensive ones of course cover way less.

Congratulations! It felt great to finally get this over with. I have enjoyed the car even more now that I have a warranty. before I purchased the Fidelity plan I had the water pump go out but really nothing else mechanical to repair. However, should I encounter one of the dreaded biggies I will be in good shape. As good as the 997 is, mine is still 11 years old. Remarkable to me that I could even get an extended warranty.

I found another Fidelity Dealer. It came in lower than Mike's considerably. It will be finalized on Monday. They even offered me a 10% down 2 year zero interest option.

Fidelity Platinum Warranty comes through again! Just paid out $1250-ish (including deductible) at dealership for $4k worth of work. Didn't think they were going to cover any of it.

Getting the car sorted (bought used, unseen, had a PPI) have equaled the cost of warranty. Highly recommended!

^^Why did you pay more than your deductible? Did you have them do extra work that was not covered?

Yes, in both cases, I had given the shop a list of things to get sorted while it was there. Two different shops - first Dougherty Automotive for the 30k service +, and then local Porsche dealership for Turbo concern.

This most recent go round was Turbo (hose and clamp), illuminated door sill, frunk internal switch, alignment, TPC system.

The dealership went above and beyond...which was probably the most shocking of all of this considering my predisposed bias towards dealerships (in terms of costs).

If the car is a DD then perhaps you need a warranty. If it's a garage queen or weekend driver I don't think so. JMO.

Luckily my car came with a warranty, but I don't think $5k would have helped much with the $10k in repairs/additional work I have had done for just the cost of my $250 deductible 3 times. It was said perfectly above...Garage Queen yeah save your money. Drive the car how it should be driven? Warranty
