Question 997 turbo dashboard & steering column problems

I have a 2008 model 911/997 Turbo. The dashboard is not functioning and the key could not be taken out from the ignition. Any suggestions of what I should do?

The battery is likely flat. Try charging it overnight using a CTEK or similar charger.

Also the ignition switch can be bad. It was a common problem on the 996 and really cheap and easy to fix. VW and Audi use the same on the 996 and half the price of the porsche unit. If i remember correctly it was less then $15 at Napa. The 997 might be tha same and worth doing a little research.
