Anybody know this car? Build sheet lists it as a tiptronic, but it is clearly a manual. Local Porsche dealer that this car was even serviced at on Carfax is stumped. Any thoughts?

I saw this car and was all over it first thing Monday morning since the dealer was closed over the weekend. I'm not local so when I had the VIN run for the spec sheet by a friend at Porsche, I saw it was a tip car. When asked about the discrepancy and for a photo of the VIN from the car in the showroom I got the run around. I called and text the so-called-dealer named Joe Cardenas again and again for the photo and all he replied was I should call the dealer in Illinois since they remember the car. Sure enough he stopped answering my phone calls and texts. Weird, since he was happy to tell me when I first called how perfect and flawless the car was.
I went to post an introductory thread today as I'm new to this board with a scammer alert/buyer beware but when I went to link the listing on the dealer website - it was mysteriously taken down.
Here's the dealer's website that wasn't available anywhere I searched over the weekend but went up by Monday morning. Linked is a 964 listing that I suspect may be grossly underpriced as well: http://www.jcautocenter.com/1991-por...1-turbo-58.php
And I don't have Facebook but here's what looks to be the scammer's Facebook website: https://m.facebook.com/joe.cardenas.169
Buyer beware if you see those same pictures go up later.

Saw this as well and I just wrote it off. Seen a few of these types in the last 4 months of shopping around, and I spoke to a local Porsche guy I know and he said you want to stay away from these types of cars. Not a Porsche or Porsche-specialist dealer, discrepancies from the original build sheet to now, just too shady for me personally.

I live in Chicago area where this car appears to have lived most its life. I talked to both Napleton Porsche and Porsche Exchange and they both acknowledged something was off with it.

Those pictures look like they are from Thomas Classics, a dealer located in Akron Ohio, local to me. I have seen a lot of their cars online and always stop in and those might have been stolen pictures from them. Just my guess.
Also, I would recommend looking at Google Streetview, because the Google Streetview shows a different story, one where these cars probably wouldn't be. It is some old car lot. I don't think they would also have those cars.

Good call on the Google street view as well.

Usually when the pictures and VIN build sheet don't match plus the Google street view shows a picture of the address to be in the middle of nowhere USA then it's usually a SCAM internet ad trying to get some sucker to wire a deposit to hold the car so it won't be sold.
