In Au - its roughly a $75-100K delta between the 2.
The last time a manual came up for sale - it was gone in less than 12 hours, tapers seem to hang around.
Ive done the math on trading my mint 6 speed for a grey import tip + Tune + Wheels + Sequential + Liberty Walk kit and new Mint green paint..... and it doesn't add up.....

In AUG 2023 Prices have come off a little and there is stock sitting. Currently 5 manual Coupes for sale + 1 Gemballa plastic fantastic.
There is the silver manual with Aerokit and 11,000klms for $325K and the cheapest manual coupe is $250K with 81,000 klms.
Other than the sliver car - they have pretty low specs.
In AU there is the 20% "import" discount. Tippers are selling in high 100"s.... A mate just sold his AUS Del TT 6 Speed for $240K Manual. Low Spec but very nice car (around 50,000 Klms.)

I do take minor issue with one comment made earlier that implied that the resulting aftermarket swapped 6MT 997TT would be worth less than a factory Tip 997TT. I don't think that is true after following the same type of conversion on Ferrari's and BMWs converted to manuals, but with a few important caveats.
1. The resulting swapped car would never be worth *AS MUCH* as a similar factory equipped 6MT. That is absolutely true and irrefutable.
2. The value of the swapped car would depend entirely on the comprehensive nature of the conversion. Meaning, done right with all factory parts required, and with all required DME programming
3. Potential future buyers for this hypothetical swapped car would likely perform extreme diligence before buying, to confirm Point 2.
I would say the end value of a properly/comprehensively swapped 997TT (TIP -> 6MT) would be approximately between the values of the two stock examples.
Easy example:
Car A. Factory TIP 997TT with 58k miles and nice options: $70k
Car B. Factory 6MT 997TT: with 58k miles and nice options: $90k
Car C. Swapped 6MT 997TT with 58k miles and nice options: $80k
I picked easy math to illustrate my point, but I do believe that a properly swapped car will gain in value, but roughly only 50% of the gap between a stock Tip and a stock 6MT. The math is not on your side in other words, but there would be a small potential reward waiting at the time of sale if you could prove beyond any doubt that the swap was done to factory standards.
Hope this helps, as I do follow this type of thing in the specialty car used car market regularly.
