Mooty, I have a 72S also, and I don't even know what an OEM sport seat looks like. I was going to put in GTS classics or Vintage seats.

Do you have GT2 seats also? If you recall, I have the A.S.S. in Graceland interior colors in my GT2RS; I am thinking about changing them out. I do like GT2 seats.

^ i do not have GT2 seat at the moment. but if you have GT2RS, (ignore the fact i am selling the CGT seat), the seat you really want is the CGT seat. it's lighter too.

Mooty, ~3-4 years ago you were the one who advised me to sell my '08GT2 to buy the '11 GT2RS! You forgot, and I still owe you on that deal. Let me think about the CGT seat, I kind of prefer another GT2 seat, but you never know.

lucky man- i should have sold gt3 and bought gt2rs somehow. Just didn't have funds liquid at that time.

I have gt2 bcukets and i have sat on cgt's in mooty's car and another gt3. IMO the CGT's are far more comfortable and hold you down better. I would sell mine to you if the delta was not as big and i could buy mooty's

Mine have the Porsche crest + OEM alcantara inserts that're in storage....

I've only seen one set of CGT seats in a CGT with factory ordered deviated stitching. I've heard of crazy options but this CGT had the highest MSRP by a huge margin. I was interested in the car because it was paint to sample like mine. However this one had deviated stitching on every available leather surface of which there aren't many. The total for this small amount of white stitching $68000. Yep, I have two witnesses because I can hardly believe it. Made paint to sample cheap at $28K I understand these same seats were available ROW in GT3s. And I'll say it again. Perlon CGT seats are the best seats for a 997 by an enormous margin. I've only had one set of GT2 seats but they simply don't compete on any level. Except used pricing. Making Mooty's seats a steal. They are as new as new gets and $7500 off new and a couple Ks more than gt2s. Plus it's not so easy to order a perlon set of CGTs these days. And it takes time to get them....

I did just this, but then sold the 2rs and bot another 3rs. The 2rs were WAY too cheap relative to their NA cousins. But once they shot up in price: the driving expletive compared to a 3rs.........meh. Esp at these prices now. 2yrs ago they were just stupid cheap given scarcity and what they represented.

Very cool. Thanks. That makes three that I've even heard of or seen. I recorded every PTS CGT in the US. I think the rarest option is leather to sample. I've seen one in Europe but I'm sure this is covered I the CGT board. Sorry J!

I have them in leather.

BEAUTIFUL seats and look "period correct" in my green 7.1rs; great eye candy. And decently comfortable. But I think they are the hottest (temperature) seats out of any OEM buckets I've owned. I have the folding fake buckets in the 4.0. I have the oem buckets in 964rs. I've had 991rs/gt4 buckets. The 997 Gt3/CGT buckets are the hottest.

Mooty, I assume the perlon version breath better? I've only been tempted to swap to perlon for cooler ride. Outside of that, the leather just look damn good.

U sell 'em?

The Perlon CGT seats are also 2-3 lbs lighter per seat than the leather version. There are also three distinct part numbers. The CGT, the 997 and a third for the 4.0. I don't have eleven sets like Mooty but I'm on my third. I've had one Ascot Brown/Black in my CGT. And a leather/alcantara version and perlon version in my GT3. Best modern era Porsche seats hands down. JBO
