Default 997.1 GT3RS: new owner tips?

PPI complete.. transaction locked.. will have the car in the next week.

Any tips for a new owner?

The owners manual suggests driving the car as soon as started and keeping the revs below 4k. Not warming the car up stationary.. is that accepting as the right thing to do??

Anything else a new owner should be aware of? Got great advice regarding the front lip options already..

Photos will be hopefully next week.. cannot wait!!

Thanks
Matty

This holds true for most all cars today in order to reduce emissions on a cold engine.. Additionally, short trips to the store and back is bad news as the engine needs to come up to operating temperature to clear out any moisture in the crankcase etc.. The 356 was well known for interior engine rust for this very reason.

that's all Porsches as far as I know, my Turbo manual says the same thing.

Track it, spend a bunch of $$$ on tires, safety, dampers and then track it some more.

Don't load the engine under 2000 rpm either, as stated in the owner's manual-
Some cars make a puff of smoke on cold start-mine rarely does, I use 5W-50 oil. Search threads on that subject for more opinions, some people think the factory 0W-40 viscosity makes the puff of smoke on startup. Some times there's also a rattle when starting, some cars more than others.
Don't leave the keys in the ignition, batt drains easily-

Bringing up old memories of dumb mistakes. Still miss that car. Do like the 11 RS a lot but nothing like your cherry 🍒 RS
